狗并非理解名字的含义,而是学会了联想:这个名字出现后常伴随好事(吃饭、散步、抚摸),大脑把音节和奖励绑定。实验显示狗对名字的反应比对相似音节强得多,还能区分主人语气的情绪。所以叫名字时配上愉快的事,它会更愿意响应——惩罚式喊名字会让狗学会装聋。
Dogs do not grasp meaning; they learn association: the name predicts good things like food, walks and petting, binding syllables to rewards. Experiments show dogs respond to their name far more than similar sounds and read owner tone moods too. Pair names with pleasant events or dogs learn to play deaf.
