地下的岩浆就像天然大锅炉:雨水和地下水渗进岩缝,被热的岩石加热后顺着裂隙涌回地面,就成了温泉。有的温泉能煮熟鸡蛋,水里还溶解着矿物质,泡完皮肤滑滑的。火山多的地方温泉也多,因为地下锅炉更近。
Underground magma works like a natural boiler: rain seeps down cracks, gets heated by hot rock and rises back up as hot springs. Some can boil eggs, carrying dissolved minerals that leave skin silky. Volcanic regions bubble with springs because their furnaces sit nearer.
