日常雨水本身挺干净，适合浇花；但城市累积在屋顶路面的灰尘、尾气颗粒和油污，会在“初雨”被一并冲下，所以头几分钟的雨水最好弃去再接。
Rain itself is fairly clean and fine for plants; but dust, exhaust particles and oil built up on roofs and roads wash off in the 'first flush', so skip the opening minutes before collecting.

Where pipelines are sound, tap is often equally safe and more strictly regulated; bottled water costs more and adds plastic production, waste and transport emissions, plus possible microplastics and plasticizers leaching from the bottle.

Boiling kills bacteria and viruses, precipitates some temporary hardness and drives off residual chlorine, but not heavy metals, nitrates, persistent chemicals or microplastics—those need source protection and filtration.
